We are located Downtown Wausau in the heart of the historic River District, just minutes from 1-39/US 51. We are adjacent to The Jefferson Street Inn, which is connected to Washington Square.

How far in advance can I make a Reservation?
You may make reservations up to 2 months in advance.

Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover are accepted.
City Grill does not accept personal checks.
What types of food do you serve?
We like to call it great American Fare, such as extraordinary steaks, fresh seafood, salads, soups, and pasta’s. Our menu items will satisfy all appetites.
Can you accommodate special diets?
All of our food is prepared fresh. We use very limited amounts of salt in our cooking, we are heart healthy in preparation. Our steaks are certified Angus®. Our current menu has a selection of salads for our vegetarian guests. To accommodate any other special diets, please make advance arrangements.
Is there a children’s menu?
Yes, we offer a special children's menu. Simply ask the server.
What are your price ranges?
With our new dinner menu we are featuring for the lighter appetite our tempting and delicious burgers and salads starting at $10.99. Our lunch entrée’s start at $7.99, and for our dinner selections we also feature some mouthwatering entrée’s starting at $12.99.
Can I order food for carryout?
Carry outs are always welcome. Please remember in the summer carry-outs are great for the music on the square.
Do you serve alcohol?
Yes, we are a full service bar, with a nice selection of wines and special libations menu. Keep in mind that “martini’s” are our specialty.
Do you sell gift certificates?
Gift certificates are always available and are available in any amount for any occasion. Simply ask your server or available 24 hours a day at the front desk of the Jefferson Street Inn.
Do you have private dining?
We do have private dining, please call for reservations.
What do you have to offer with outside catering, special events, meetings and weddings?
We are happy to accommodate any of the above. Our sales staff can answer any questions. We can cater to outside activities such as, larger luncheons at an office, a special party, etc. We have meeting space available from small conference rooms to larger rooms to accommodate larger activities. Weddings are always a pleasure to plan with the future bride and groom, we can accommodate anything from the bridal shower to a large wedding reception.
